So my last post was about Christmas gifts for dogs. In my last post, I talked about the ultra couture top of the line designer dog carrier for $450. Well if you think that’s over the top, then this gift for your dog tops them all. I came across this Diamond and Gold Encrusted MP3 player for dogs. Coming in at a whopping $2000, this is the ultimate gift for dogs according to the makers of this fine Mp3 player, JooZoo. The hefty price tag, nearly 10 times the cost of some iPODs, is due to the diamonds and gold that cover this MP3 player.

Now I know many of you are probably wondering “How the hell do dogs listen to an MP3 player?” Well, the company claims that the player does not necessarily play music. Rather it releases sound waves to help the flow of blood within your dogs body. The sound waves are motion induced so when your dog moves around, the MP3 player lets off “soothing” sound waves that help calm your dog and relieves any tension and stress that they may be experiencing. The Korean company states that dogs left home alone for long periods of time experience higher levels of stress. The MP3 player helps reduce these stress levels within in your dog.

I do believe that dogs that are left home alone for prolonged periods of time experience higher stress levels and sometimes become depressed. We have a lot of dogs at home so they are never lonely and pretty much play all day. Better yet, we work at home so our dogs are rarely left home for more than a few hours. However, I’m not so sure that sound waves emanating from an MP3 player can calm your dogs nerves. However, I’m not a dog scientist and this Korean company, JooZoo may know something about a dogs brain waves or inner Chi that I don’t.
