I know I’m a little late posting this, but I had to gather all the pictures I took from the halloween dog costume contest. We actually went to quite a few dog costume contests this year but I forgot my camera on 2 occasions! Luckily I didn’t forget my camera at this event. This halloween dog costume contest took place at the W Hotel in Downtown San Diego. The hotel was a great venue to sip some wine, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the cute, scary and wild costumes that these dogs showcased. There were all sorts of dogs at this costume extravaganza. I saw lots pugs, Yorkies, Maltese, Stafordshire Terriers, Bulldogs, Chihuahuas…….you name it and they were here. Some owners were quite creative with their ideas and looked like lots of time was spent creating some of the costumes. Here are some of the photos that I took at this great dog costume event.

This guy won the category for most scariest dog costume. He really went all out with this costume contest dressing himself up as Frankenstein and his dogs as this sort of spider costume. He had this really cool looking dog leash that resembled chains from a horror movie.

Here’s a better look at the dog that won the scariest dog costume category. This is the black pug that is sitting on Frankenstein’s lap above.

This cute chihuahua won the contest for most original costume. As you can see, the Chihuahua is dressed in an adorable turtle costume. This girl came running in at the last minute and fortunately won the contest!
